HISTORY
Dottie's Goat Farm (DGF) was established, as an official Amador County business, in 2022 by Pamela and Reed Baumgarten.
Pamela and Reed had started raising goats since 2020, after they rescued their first baby goat “Brava.” The farm acquired its current name after the unexpected passing of their beloved rescue baby goat “Dottie,” in 2022.
To keep Dottie’s memory alive, DGF was established to benefit landowners interested in renting or purchasing goats for brush-management needs. Through the “goatscaping" method, the DGF goat crews work clearing unwanted dry brush to help reduce wildfire risk and keep lands looking neat.
DGF serves clients in Amador County and nearby areas. Contact us for a quote.
